First Steps
Our platform is licensed at the institutional level. Access is granted automatically through our initial registration page through use of your institutional email address.
Here is a copy of the registration document we provide to someone at your institution
- Users must register for an account on our Registration Page.
- They can only register using their institutional email address.
- The email address will serve as their user name and it is CASE-SENSITIVE.
- We currently have the following known email domains for your campus:
- something.edu
- another_something.edu
- Once a new user completes the registration form and uses the submit button our system checks the validity of the email domain only and if it is a valid domain two emails will be sent automatically from no-reply@accounts.us-west-2.amazonappstream.com.
- If you do not receive these emails please check your SPAM folder or ask your email administrator to release them.
- The first of the emails will require you to set a password. The second simply describes that as part of your registration you have access to our platform.
- After you set your password, you will be logged into the platform for the first time. There is some setup that is required. Specifically, you need to vValidate the license file (attached txt file with at least part of your university name as the file name). Here is a link to a video illustrating this process (Registration Video). Please pay particular attention to the steps for transferring your license (UNIVERSITY.txt) file to the platform.
- A pdf copy of the slide deck used in the video was delivered to our primary contact at your university.

- We encourage all new users to consider reviewing our blog and registering for updates from the blog – this is the first place we will communicate about new features or other relevant information (directEDGAR Blog).
- We will post videos about using different features on our YouTube Channel.
- A current version of our user manual was delivered to our primary contact at your university. To request another copy please send an email to support.

If you are a faculty or research student at one of our client schools and are not sure who your contact is please send an email (from your institutional email address) to our support in-box.
We don’t provide registration material here because you need a license token before you can begin the registration process.
